As human beings, we are given a "pre-fixed" genetic destiny. Whether it be eye color, hair color, or body type we are theorized to have a predetermined physical appearance....or so we are led to believe.
Throughout my life I found out that my genetic make-up was to be overweight. Understanding this fate, I continued my daily life by role with a total disregard to change. On June 1, 2007, I woke up for what I thought would be another standard day in my life until I stepped on the scale. Looking down I could not fathom how I ever grew to 273 pounds. I was overweight, unhealthy, unhappy, and looking for answers.
Typically, I would've indulged my depression with a carton of Edy's and a Big Mac, but at this point I understood that wasn't an option. I spent several weeks searching for healthy alternatives, diets, workout regimens--to no avail I found myself continuing in the same rut.
Fate brought me to Paramount Fitness. I walked into the newly established studio thinking nothing can change me--thinking this will be no more than another failed effort--thinking I was genetically destined to look this way. Little did I know I was about to take the first step of many steps to a new me. Week in and week out, I trained hard, established a healthy diet, and most of all was pushed to the absolute limit. Now June 1, 2008 I stand 93 pounds lighter at a healthy and toned 180 pounds.
Words cannot express the gratitude I owe to Rob, Bert & Alison.
Rob: Without you I would be in the same place I was one year ago. I cannot thank you enough for all of your efforts to drive me to be a healthier, happier person. You are more than a friend to me and I will never be able to repay the debt I owe you for this triumph.
Bert: From Day 1 you pushed me. Everyday--the phone calls, the diet plans, the workouts. Meeting me on your own time to make sure each day my workout was more and more intense. You allowed me to establish the fundamentals and laid the ground work for my success.
Alison: I hated you from the first day you trained me. Never was I pushed so hard and never did I leave the gym feeling feeling more successful. You are an uplifting spirit for me. I could never imagined someone as tiny as you to have such an enormous presence in my life.
The three of you are my rocks. You have changed me--not only physically, but mentally, and emotionally too. I have learned that physical fitness is not just to be able to run a marathon or have 6-pack abs, but to have an all around stable character.
To achieve paramount fitness is to achieve total character development. Thank you all for leading me to my own PARAMOUNT FITNESS!

"I was always the chubby kid of the family which wasn’t a large problem. When I got into college the freshman 15 took its impact, second year I started working out and lost a bit of weight, looked good, left good but was still chubby. Things changed though in the last year of school, due to the demanding schedule and stress followed by the post graduation sedentary lifestyle that comes with being unemployed. My weight jumped to an all time high of 250 pounds. Being 5’6” this was a problem.
Working with Rob did more than take my weight from an unhealthy high to an all time low (currently 170 lb, a delta of 80 pounds). Rob’s program directions towards better eating and also a change in mind set that weight loss should not solely be my ultimate goal in his training. Weight loss does happen, and noticeably, but the main goal my case was an overall improvement in health. Weight will fluctuate due to all sorts of factors but the increased speed, stamina and feeling of wellbeing is something I have over all my “forever skinny” friends. Believe me, there is no better feeling after an all day hiking trip than to be skipping up the hill while all your fit friends all huffing and puffing behind you."

BOOT CAMP!!!
Paramount Fitness would like to personally invite YOU to Boot Camp! We offer Boot Camp every day of the week. On Monday, Wednesday & Friday, Boot Camp Sessions are held at 8AM. On Tuesday, and Thursday, Boot Camp Sessions are held at 9AM. Due to high demand we have now added Boot Camp Sessions Monday and Wednesday at 6AM!!
Located at 160 Hopper Ave in Waldwick, NJ, we pride ourselves in being the best at what we do. With our state of the art equipment, workouts that don't miss a muscle, and nutritional counseling, you are sure to see the results you are looking for! Hope to see you soon!
